Weezy Pop Takes Over Baltic
Saturday 4th July 2026 is a date we'll never forget.
From 3pm until 8pm, Level 6 at Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art became the home of the Weezy Pop Takeover. With breathtaking views across the Gateshead Quays and the River Tyne, the space was transformed into a colourful celebration of creativity, community and, of course, jewellery.
We honestly didn't know what to expect.
The response completely blew us away. Before we'd even opened the doors at 3pm, people had already started queuing to get in, with some visitors waiting for over an hour. Seeing so many familiar faces alongside people discovering Weezy Pop for the very first time was something we'll never forget.
Meeting so many of you in person was one of the highlights of the day. From customers wearing their favourite Weezy Pop stacks to self-confessed Weezy Pop collectors, it was so special to put faces to names, hear your stories and celebrate together.

The event also marked the launch of our exclusive Baltic x Weezy Pop collaboration. Inspired by the North East, art and individuality, the collection featured five limited edition designs: Love Loud, United, Big Heart Energy, Peace, Love & Two Fingers to Hate, and Radgie. Seeing everyone discover the collection for the first time made every late night designing and making them completely worthwhile.
The atmosphere throughout the day was incredible. DJs kept the energy high, guests enjoyed our famous Weezy Popcorn and Weezy Poptails, and the first 50 purchases each received one of our limited edition goodie bags. They disappeared in no time!
One of the first things people commented on as they walked in was the incredible floral displays by local faux florist Love Fiona Rose. Her signature roller boot and disco ball vases, filled with vibrant, colourful arrangements, perfectly captured the fun, bold spirit of Weezy Pop. They transformed the space, adding colour, personality and a touch of magic that made the whole event feel unmistakably Weezy Pop. Fiona absolutely understood the brief, and the flowers became one of the standout talking points of the day.
Another highlight was our luxury prize draw, made possible thanks to the generosity of some fantastic local businesses. Prizes included a beautiful Terry de Havilland handbag, a luxury hamper from Fenwick, coffee from Ouseburn Coffee Co., handcrafted candles from Hot Wax, and a gorgeous self care bundle from Zenote. We're so grateful to every business that helped make the day even more special.

Looking back, the Weezy Pop Takeover was about so much more than launching a collection. It was about celebrating creativity, supporting local businesses, bringing our community together and creating the kind of colourful, joy-filled atmosphere that Weezy Pop is all about.
To everyone who came along, queued before the doors opened, shopped the collection, danced, chatted, entered the prize draw or simply spent the afternoon with us, thank you.
You made it one of the most unforgettable days in Weezy Pop history.
We honestly couldn't have asked for a better first Weezy Pop Takeover, and if this is anything to go by, we can't wait to do it all again. Here's to the next one!
